The Orion Nebula, shot from Navarre. This constellation has so much meaning for me. It was the first constellation my dad ever showed me. He said you can always find it because it looks like a road sign. In his version, the belt of Orion formed one side of the sign and the sword formed the post the sign was on. He said he remembered looking out his window as a tiny kid in Moab, Utah and seeing it stand out against the other constellations. So years ago when I discovered that a camera could pick

My family and I were in France to run the Paris Marathon. We rented a wonderful, old, rambling apartment in a beautiful, quiet part of town. We were on the fourth floor of this six-story building. The elevator could only accommodate two people and was slow to arrive. Consequently, walking up the stairs became the most practical option. This photo gives you an idea of what it felt like to walk up these stairs after running 26.2 miles over five hours. (Taken with Google Pixel Pro8. ?/1.95 1/

I shot this series of photos with a sky guider pro tracker set to sun mode and a 100-500 lens with a mylar sun filter. I couldn't get a true polar alignment so I kind of eyeballed it the best I could and only had to adjust a few times throughout the sequence. Once I was done shooting I pulled them into Photoshop as layers and set the blend mode to lighten and made a black background layer. Then I arranged them into a star pattern which I felt was befitting of the target.

I had just pulled up into the yard from work and I had seen this guy wings shimmering in the sun. I had my camera with me so I thought a good dragonfly photo shoot would be the perfect way to end the day. I was started taking his pictures and I wanted to see how close I could get to him, so I started to army crawl stopping every now and then to take his picture.

On Tuesday, March 12th, I got up early and headed to Ft. Pickens in search of birds to shoot. As I stood on the fishing pier at Ft. Pickens, I heard the call of an osprey. Looking up, I saw a dog fight between the bald eagle and the osprey, which seemed to be over the osprey's breakfast. I began snapping shots of them as soon as my Nikon 500mm lens focused on them. While visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon for Spring Break this year, we were treated to beautiful blue skies, warm weather, stars AND airglow at night! I was absolutely giddy about seeing those stars! Now I hope you all know how extremely rare this combination is on the pacific coast in spring. It's normally overcast and raining and definitely no stars to be seen. Thank you universe for allowing your magic to flow this evening. I truly appreciate you and your powers ??

to create this I used a piece of Teal vinyl for the backdrop, I had the camera, with a 30 mm Marco lens on a tripod set to manual focus, with focus staking of 10 shots I only used 5 in the end). for lighting I had two static lights on mini stands so I could play about with their placement to get the effect I was looking for. Decided to make a composite that resembles the photo that NASA took with their millions of dolllar photo equipment. 2 months ago I photographed the full moon and placed it on top of the most recent solar eclipse photo I took. The moon normally get its light from the sun so getting the perspective with moon visibility is impossible during an eclipse unless you have nasa gear. My photo was taken with a canon R5, RF400mm F2.8 and cropped in.
